Mercados, mercados, mercados

Mais de 50 anos atrás, foi escrito o poema que segue:

Markets

“There are broad markets, thin markets

Stable markets, big ones.

There are fish markets, flea markets

Gem markets and then some:

Gold markets, gyrating ones;

Free markets, dope markets

Controlled markets, sloopy ones.

What a lot of markets thera are!

There are black markets, grey markets

Job markets, sticky ones;

Shadow markets, ghost markets

Vice markets, baby ones!

There are bond markets, bill markets

Flexible markets, monopolized ones;

Stock markets, flow markets

Put-and-call markets, curb ones.

We could go on and on:

Auction markets, betting markets,

Markets made for barter;

Demand-determined, supply-determined

Markets run by charter.

Factor markets, supermarkets

Active markets, French ones

Futures markets, spot markets

Capital markets, resilient ones.

There are even markets for presidents.

P.S. Sendo o título em português, mas o poema em inglês, achei de bom tom colocar uma imagem  homenageando à França.
